. . . . Being among the first interns under the program, I am given the chance to do something no one has ever done before – to write about my experience in Xeno as a summer intern of Marketing.

Internship in Xeno means meeting the friendly work force of the company. It means free lunch or free snacks from birthday Xeno birthday celebrators of the month. . . . It means meeting the CEO and president of the company and having a chat with him every now and then. It means giving up your summer vacation for a much more productive activity.

More than these, internship in Xeno means having a project that you could and you would own. It means going to work everyday and doing your best in your project with the hope of impressing your boss in the end. It means learning later on that impressing the boss isn’t the point of internship, but learning from it. It means that while you learn from the internship, the company also hopes to learn as much from you. It means critical thinking, common sense, and practicality. It means real-life and real-time situations. It means challenging yourself and testing your limits. It means presenting your project in front of the Leadership Team after a whole summer of study and field work. It means getting feedback on how you performed the whole time you were with the company. It means giving your feedback on the company and on the internship program. It means training, in the real sense of the word.

After 33 days under the program, I wouldn’t say Xeno has the best internship program there is, because I don’t even know what the other companies have for their curriculum. But, one thing I can assure you, Xeno has a GREAT internship program… and being part of it just makes me proud.
